2009
Coming January 2009, I'm going to change the site a little. 2009 is the year of change for me. Several years ago, I set out on a mission to accompolish a very specific goal. I've let it fall through the cracks and made excuse after excuse for dropping the ball. I cannot blame anybody but myself. My website is going to be about this goal and the journey towards it. I think it will help me get where I want to go. Anyway, stay tuned for the new site and as always, Chris & I wish everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Mazel Tov and all that good stuff.

Christmas
I am going to try to not get caught up in the "who do I need to buy for" this year. I've made a list of who gets what and that is that. I'm going to try to be patient in line at stores, etc. Who am I kidding? I have no patience for anything. We haven't put out any decorations yet, but I'm ready to get all my snowmen out. I love snowmen!! They're so fat and happy and just make my soul smile. I'd decorate our whole place in snowmen if Chris would let me.
I discovered something about myself the other day. For whatever reason, any channel that plays Christmas movies all day long drives me insane. It's like animals in clothing, I just can't stand it. I don't even want to look at it. I think because on Lifetime they've had this Fa La La La Lifetime marathon going on and the movies are cheesy. I don't know but it drives me crazy.
Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas movies. I just don't like cheesy ones. I love Elf with Will Ferrell. It's one movie that I can watch any time of the year. You can't beat this:
Oh well. So I guess we can now say "Tis the Season.....to watch cheesy movies". Merry Christmas!!

Yeah Toby!!
Dwight: I love catching people in the act. It's why I always whip open doors.
Michael: Me too.
Michael: I tried. I tried! I tried to talk to Toby and be his friend... But that is like trying to be friends with an evil... snail. I feel like I'm dying inside. I feel like Neve Campbell in Scream 2. She thinks she can go off to college and be happy... And then, the murderer comes back. Starts killing off all of her friends. Learned a lot of lessons from that movie. This is just one of them.
Michael: You wanna see some real high-caliber acting? Well, Mr. Kurt Russell, you are about to be served.
Dwight: Brownies is it? Hmph. Pastry cubes made of sugar and fat. No thank you, I'll stick with my jurkey.
Dwight: Oh I've framed animals before. I framed a raccoon for opening a Christmas present. And I framed a bear for eating out of the garbage.
Andy: Uhhh. No, I was just walking by your desk, saw some email. [points to his eyes] I got peepers of an eagle.
Finally the best lines I think I've ever heard from T.O.:
Dwight: What is my perfect crime? I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No. I go for the chandelier; it's priceless. As I'm taking it down, a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I love the cold. Thirty years later I get a postcard. I have a son. And he's the Chief of Police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stashed the chandelier.

Be thankful
I had a reminder this week of what it's like to be there for someone. One of my co-workers (I hope she doesn't mind that I put this) got a phone call Thursday that her father passed away. He was 43 (she's 21). He wasn't sick. He was fine. It was very unexpected. She was completely shocked. She went into a panic attack and almost collapsed in my arms. Being that men in our office don't know how to handle females, two of them just stared at her. I made her sit down and called for back up. She lives 45 minutes away and had to get home. I was not going to let her drive. She was hysterical and her being upset, was making me upset. Several co-workers said I handled it very well. I didn't know where she lived. Just her city. Long story short, we got her home safely and I'm going to the memorial service tomorrow with another co-workers.
I've heard people say "You find out who your true friends are at weddings, birthdays and funerals". This girl is like a little sister to me and I can only imagine how she feels. She is the rock in her family and everyone turns to her. I give her much credit because at 21, I just wanted to party.
It made me realize there are certain people in my family that I don't call and say hello. Nothing more, nothing less. I know some people that call me and say "How are you" which really means "I don't care because I'm about to talk about myself". I cannot stand people like this & usually avoid their phone calls. Yada yada yada. So to everyone that reads this, try to call a relative you haven't spoken to in a while. Just say hi and tell them you were on their mind. You just never know.

My weekend and The Office
I know I've stopped my episode recaps of The Office, but there has only been a few good moments that are worth discussing. The best part from Employee Transfer was Dwight messing with Andy.
The best part from this past episode, Customer Survey was this:
